Meet our Guides
Jayci Ferrimani
Jayci started his journey near his childhood home near Estes Park, Colorado. It wasn’t until leaving home and attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston that he realized his true calling was not in music but in climbing in the outdoors. Since then Jayci has been devoted to climbing. His journey has brought him many places from frozen waterfalls, to big desert walls. Jayci is a certified Rock Guide and has attended an AMGA Alpine Guide Course. His passion is helping others in pursuit of their path in the art of climbing.
Javan Edwards
When he began his first year of college at Northern Arizona University, Javan decided to take a climbing class as a last minute physical education credit. Immediately Javan became obsessed with the sport, taking on project after project on the limestone rocks of “The Pit” in Flagstaff Arizona. What started as an obsession later turned into a new found passion for teaching in outdoor environments. With the goal of furthering his outdoor education career, Javan has since returned to his home town of Tucson in hopes of sharing his desire for climbing with anyone looking for adventure!
Alexis Finley
“My first memory of climbing was on the slabs of Tuloumne Meadows with a rope tied around my waist with my dad and uncle. I started guiding technical climbing on the sea cliffs of Acadia National Park in 2005. Since then I’ve guided in Maine, New Hampshire, Quebec, Arizona, California and Mexico. I’m an American Mountain Guides Association certified Rock Guide and a Single Pitch Instructor for the AMGA. When I’m not climbing I can be found woodworking, traveling to surf, mountain biking and loving on my wife and two kids.“
TJ Aguilara
As a Tucson native, nothing brings TJ more joy than guiding people through Arizona’s unique desert landscape. Whether its hiking, biking, running or climbing, he is always psyched to be outside exploring with new friends. He spent the last six years developing his professional guiding skills working as and adventure guide. He is currently pursuing his AMGA rock guide certification. He has been climbing off and on since he was in grade school. Out of all the places TJ has traveled, Tucson remains his favorite place to climb and hike. The beauty of the southwest is captivating and he can’t wait to share it with you
Brandon Goutung
Brandon was born in Wisconsin with an itch to explore the fragmented landscape of the midwest. Studying Russian, Botany and Microbiology, UW – Madison changed his life’s trajectory, sending him to St Petersburg, Russia to achieve fluency. After a 2.5 year vision quest of hitchhiking around Russia, Asia and much of the former Soviet Union, he longed to return to the land of opportunity and set a career in motion, landing a job working for the National Park Service as a biological science technician first in Alaska, then Tucson, AZ where he found his place to call home. Brandon began his career as a climber on the sun-scorched rocks of southern Arizona in 2010 and has since devoted much of his life to vertical pursuits. Currently, Brandon’s passion in climbing is guiding and sharing what he loves about his home crags with travellers, returning all the hospitality he encountered in his travels and instilling in others a respect of our diverse desert landscapes.
