Ben Ramsey

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor
and Apprentice Rock Guide

Ben got his first taste of climbing at a gym in Huntsville, Alabama, where he grew up. But it wasn’t until years later, when he moved to Pinedale, Wyoming, to work as a small-town reporter for the local paper, that he started to pursue climbing as a regular part of his life.

Since that time, Ben has lived all around the Western United States, establishing new routes in Arizona and Utah. He is the owner of Bighorn Mountain Guides operating in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. He holds an AMGA SPI, and is an AMGA apprentice Rock Guide.

Javan Edwards

When he began his first year of college at Northern Arizona University, Javan decided to take a climbing class as a last minute physical education credit. Immediately Javan became obsessed with the sport, taking on project after project on the limestone rocks of “The Pit” in Flagstaff Arizona.

What started as an obsession later turned into a new found passion for teaching in outdoor environments. With the goal of furthering his outdoor education career, Javan has since returned to his home town of Tucson in hopes of sharing his desire for climbing with anyone looking for adventure!

Ben Luedtke

Ben’s love for mountains and the great outdoors comes from growing up in the north woods of Wisconsin. His climbing career and endeavors started after moving to Portland, OR in 2017. Since then, Ben has travelled all over the United States and around the world pursuing his dreams.

More than anything, Ben loves learning more about his craft and sharing that knowledge with others. He is currently working his way through all of the courses in the AMGA Mountain Guide Program. Outside of work, Ben loves spending time with his fluffy companion, Echo, playing the drums, and participating in many different outdoor activities from trail running to ice climbing.
