Jake began exploring the mountains while growing up in Colorado. He found his passion for rock climbing after taking a course in Boulder, CO. After that, climbing and the outdoors took over his life, eventually leading him to pursue a degree in Adventure Education at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO.

Since then, Jake has guided and instructed rafting, backpacking, backcountry skiing, canyoneering, mountaineering, and rock climbing throughout the Southwest. Jake is an AAIRE course instructor and holds a Pro 1 certification from the American Avalanche Institute.

Dylan Randall

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

Dylan’s connection to the outdoors began early, from backpacking in the Eastern Sierra to mountain unicycling along the cliffs of Sedona. While studying Mechanical Engineering in Flagstaff, AZ, climbing became a steady source of adventure, reflection, and growth, ultimately leading him to pursue professional guiding in Idaho with a wilderness therapy program.

In Idaho’s Sawtooth Range, Dylan developed a lasting appreciation for multi-pitch climbing and the drive to share that experience with others. He is pursuing his AMGA Rock Guide certification while creating meaningful experiences that build confidence, lasting skills, and a sense of accomplishment that extend well beyond the day.

Javan Edwards

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

When he began his first year of college at Northern Arizona University, Javan decided to take a climbing class as a last minute physical education credit. Immediately Javan became obsessed with the sport, taking on project after project on the limestone rocks of “The Pit” in Flagstaff Arizona.

What started as an obsession later turned into a new found passion for teaching in outdoor environments. With the goal of furthering his outdoor education career, Javan has since returned to his home town of Tucson in hopes of sharing his desire for climbing with anyone looking for adventure!

Ben Luedtke

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

Ben’s love for mountains and the great outdoors comes from growing up in the north woods of Wisconsin. His climbing career and endeavors started after moving to Portland, OR in 2017. Since then, Ben has travelled all over the United States and around the world pursuing his dreams.

More than anything, Ben loves learning more about his craft and sharing that knowledge with others. He is currently working his way through all of the courses in the AMGA Mountain Guide Program. Outside of work, Ben loves spending time with his fluffy companion, Echo, playing the drums, and participating in many different outdoor activities from trail running to ice climbing.

Nate Valentine

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor
and Apprentice Rock Guide

Nate first found outdoor adventures in the form of going skiing and snowboarding after school almost every day of the winter of southern Pennsylvania, equipped with a night time season pass.
He learned about the world of alpine ski racing when he worked with the US national team at their training venue at Copper Mountain, Colorado. After several years in the music industry and climbing casually in Nashville, TN, he decided to get more serious about climbing by trying hard on the great sandstone of the southeast.
He began guiding rock climbing in the Sierra Nevada in 2022, then in the Deserts of Arizona, as well as guiding a wider variety of disciplines year round with a wilderness therapy program. Nate is a devoted climber and guide with a contagious positive energy!
