Rock Climbing
Tucson

Southern Arizona has an amazing variety to choose from when it comes to rock climbing. The key locations that draw  rock climbers from all over the country are Mt. Lemmon  and Cochise Stronghold. These destinations are a wonderland of granite domes that offer world class adventure and a great place to gain the skills needed to  rock climb anywhere. Central to all of this is the town of Tucson, one of the oldest cities in the Southwest and one with incredible access to some of Arizona’s best  rock climbing, canyoneering, and hiking.

The  rock climbing season in Tucson is very accommodating. Higher elevations in the Catalina Mountains allow access to cooler temps in the summer months, and the winter conditions at lower elevations couldn’t get any better. The  rock climbing around Tucson is great for all ability levels, with very approachable beginner terrain and thousands of routes at every grade.
